CR14 was proud to support this year's "Noor Meister" vocational skills competition, which took place on February, physically at Kehtna and technically on the Open Cyber Range. The event challenged participants to administer and manage various IT systems and services, including Microsoft products, Debian operating systems, and OPNsense computer networks.
The competition was a great success, with many talented young participants showcasing their skills in IT systems management. While there could only be three winners, we believe that everyone who participated in the competition deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication to IT systems management.
In today’s job market, there is a growing need for skilled IT systems specialists. These competitions are an excellent way to encourage young people to pursue careers and help develop the next generation of IT systems specialists.
We congratulate Ramses Laursoo from the Viljandi Vocational Education Center on winning first place, followed by Germo Tael from the Pärnumaa Vocational Education Center in second place, and Andreas Laaniste from the Tallinn Polytechnic School in third place. The winners should be proud of their achievements, and we hope that they continue to pursue careers in IT systems management.
The “Noor Meister” annual competition, organized by WSorldSkills Estonia, was a significant milestone for CR14’s Open Cyber Range, which offers a secure and isolated environment for cybersecurity training and competitions. We look forward to hosting more exciting events at the range and continuing to support the development of the next generation of IT systems specialists.
Last week saw the conclusion of Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX), NATO's largest-ever digital interoperability exercise. Taking place in NATO Joint Force Training Centre in Bydgoszcz, Poland and being hosted on the CR14 multiverse of cyber ranges, CWIX allows NATO and its members to experiment and test their deployable systems in a controlled environment.

Maritime technology has been developing rapidly for some time now, with 80% of world trade transported by sea today. While we enjoy the fruits of that development, we must remember to fortify our defences to ensure they remain untainted. That is why we proudly announce that CR14 has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Tallinn University of Technology to jointly focus and collaborate on maritime cybersecurity R&D.
