CybExer Technologies and CR14 Forge Strategic Alliance to Enhance Europe’s Cyber Defense Preparedness

CR14 has joined forces with CybExer Technologies, an influential force in cyber training solutions. Together, they are poised to elevate Europe’s cyber defense capabilities by orchestrating the annual Military Cyber Emergency Response Teams (MILcert) exercise, in partnership with the European Defence Agency (EDA).

Last year, the MILcert exercise brought together over 200 experts from EDA Member States and Switzerland to enhance European cooperation among national Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs). This year, the stage is even grander, as 27 countries unite to engage in a comprehensive training program designed to fortify incident response dynamics and information-sharing practices in modern cyber defence.

In this collaborative endeavour, CR14 provides essential computing power via its open cyber range (OCR), while CybExer Technologies delivers the cyber range technology for conducting the exercise. Together, their synergy enhances the capabilities of the MILcert exercise, fostering resilience within a robust computational framework.

“We are excited to embark on this journey of cyber resilience alongside CR14,” said Aare Reintam, COO at CybExer Technologies. “Our combined efforts demonstrate the power of collaboration in advancing Europe’s cyber defence capabilities. By validating the functionalities and trustworthiness of the range, we are setting a new standard for large-scale, complex cyber simulations.“

“Open Cyber Range is the newest range in our Multiverse of Cyber Ranges and is meant for the private sector – notably the cybersecurity innovators to use, test, and validate new products and to promote security thinking. We are happy that Cybexer, our long-time partner and leading expert in cyber exercises, is collaborating with us to push the boundaries,“ commented Siim Alatalu, CEO at CR14. “CR14 and Cybexer share the same mission – to make cyberspace safer for all, both in the public and private sectors. This collaboration clearly reflects that mission, and we’d welcome an active use of the OCR by cybersecurity companies to continue,” he added.

What sets this collaboration apart is the delicate interplay between technical prowess and mutual cooperation. As they validate the OCR’s capacity to handle the immense demands of the MILcert exercise, their partnership showcases the importance of uniting expertise in pursuing a more secure digital landscape.

As the exercise unfolds from the 20th to the 24th of October, the European cyber defence community will witness a remarkable demonstration of partnership, technical excellence, and a shared commitment to safeguarding critical digital infrastructure.   About CybExer Technologies:

CR14 helps to safeguard the seven seas

Maritime technology has been developing rapidly for some time now, with 80% of world trade transported by sea today. While we enjoy the fruits of that development, we must remember to fortify our defences to ensure they remain untainted. That is why we proudly announce that CR14 has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Tallinn University of Technology to jointly focus and collaborate on maritime cybersecurity R&D.
